Take a journey to Ambon Indonesia, where you’ll experience how “Scripture engagement” is being done in direct partnership with the local church which has a growing vision to provide the people of Maluku with Scriptures that they can understand, to minister in local languages, and to contextualize worship.

Come see for yourself the potential of a cluster approach to Bible translation and a multi-cultural team in action. While getting to know local people, you’ll have opportunities to learn the local language, study the culture, and be exposed to different belief systems. There are a variety of ways you may contribute to the work while you’re here, including recording and transcribing texts, distributing materials, helping with survey work, and developing Scripture use materials. You will also have opportunities to meet felt needs by teaching English in local congregations.

Prerequisites:
Previous cross-cultural experience
