Wycliffe: Next Generation

involving students in Bible Translation, short term missions and internships

I found this website article that really says what I believe on this topic. Now, I don't endorse everything on this website, including the advertisements, BUT the author speaks what I think. What do YOU think?

Here's a couple Bible references to consider as well:
"Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the brand marks of Jesus."
-Galatians 6:17

"On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords."
-Revelation 19:16
Very insightful and well said.
I think this is intresting because my sister got one. In general I think they are OK, but like this essay stated you have to understand your motives for getting one. In someways its the same as some Christian parents not wanting their girls to get their ears peirced, is that wrong?
I don't think tattoo's are a sin. I read in a christen teenage girl magazeen called tweenvirtue that tattoo's aren't a sin. But you should think twice about getting one. Because if your saved and you have Jesus in your heart if he's in your heart ( but not literly ) then your body is like a temple and your supose to be carfull how you decorate it. anyway thats what i think.
These are influences from eastern religion and culture, so we should examine the origin of tattoos to determine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fhlJzORjO8 - What's Behind the Ink?
Thanks for sharing the article. It's an interesting article. Tatoo is one of the most stuff that Christians in Indonesia discuss about.
My husband has one and when he went to Indonesia on mission trips, he had to cover it well because some of the churches think that tatoo is sin.
I think as long as tatoo is not for showing off and draw attention to ourselves, it is not a sin.
Just my opinion.
