Be a part of a team promoting God’s Word through art forms of the local culture! 

This team needs videographers, students and professors of ethnoarts and anyone with a communications/media background or related field.

After one week of training in Dallas, Texas, the team will fly to the Solomon Islands to lead workshops on promoting God’s Word through cultural art forms (Arts in Mission).  The team will also provide video documentation for the Festival of Pacific Arts (FOPA) leaving a completed DVD of the two week event including segments on the training.  Twenty six countries from around the Pacific send delegates to participate in this event.   Team members will be working with people from various nations of the Pacific as well as Solomon Islanders in a local setting.  Other possible activities include involvement with a Biblical story-telling workshop and production of radio spots promoting God’s Word.

 

Come expecting to grow in new ways as you see God’s Word through other cultures. 

 

Prerequisites:  coursework or equivalent experience in videography, ethnoarts (music, dance, theatre,...), communications, journalism, broadcasting, media or related field.
