involving students in Bible Translation, short term missions and internships

U.S. Based-Dallas

Dallas – International Linguistics Center

This office site looks very much like a college campus because this is where much of our research is done regarding language data for people groups around the world.  In addition it is also the location of a partner organization, Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics.

Opportunities at this site include jobs such as Finance, HR, or Communication, but also include Cartography (digital map making), and Language Software Development.

  • Engage in various projects, exploring the ways your skills can contribute to Bible translation. (Job opportunities include accounting, administration, business, event planning, finance, graphic design, human resources, information technology, communications, marketing, photography, public relations, cartography and web design.)
  • Participate in the Wycliffe community through group activities such as reguarly campus worship times.
  • Bond with a small discipleship group and a mentor who will walk with you throughout the summer to help you develop your personal and spiritual goals.
  • Enjoy fun social activities in the city of your internship (ie. local parks & attractions, concerts, outdoor movies, etc).
  • Attend leadership development classes and learn from some of the best non-profit missions organization leaders in the world.
  • Experience community life with other student interns. (Housing will vary according to site.)
  • Attend an optional week of our introductory linguistics class, "TOTAL It Up" before your internship.
