Naomi Peterson said… That's so cool! It's so great to be able to talk to people who have the same interests as me, especially when they're farther along in the process of pursuing them. It's totally encouraging! I can't wait to actually be able to meet all of you and really talk!
Have you done anything to prepare for the trip yet, like write support letters or anything?
Jessica, I'm so sorry. I just now saw your question. I got the following info from LLoyd: we'll be staying on the island of New Britain, in the village of Lavege. The language of the people there is Melanesian Pidgin, but I don't know the name of the people group. I'm sure that Ruth knows- she has been there before. i haven't.
Naomi Peterson said… Haha, no worries. I'm with you. :)
That's so cool! What school are you at? I'm a junior in high school and, long story short, one day a few months ago I came across the Wycliffe website and found the PNG trip and a lot has happened since then. I think God is leading me to be a Bible translator, which is a big reason why I'm going on this trip!
Ruth Milligan said… Jessica....I just saw you live in GA. We aren't too far from you. We live in Dayton Tn - just north of Chattanooga. I will also be befriending you on facebook. You will be able to hunt on all my pictures for our last PNG trip so you can see what it might be like!
Ruth Milligan said… Hi Jessica, Yes. We are leading the trip. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!!
