I'm at the University of Georgia. I'm really interested in Bible translation.. getting a hands on feel for it and what applied linguistics can look like in real life is a huge draw for me.
This is going to be an incredible experience! It's really cool and encouraging to hear you say that you are already looking into it.. I remember where I was junior year of high school and I didn't even have an idea of God's big picture yet!
Hi Naomi! Sorry.. it's taking me a while to figure out how to work this site haha I wasn't sure whether to message you or comment or what! (Technology is not my forte lol). But it's great to 'meet' you!
What made me want to come on the trip.. well I just recently declared my major as Linguistics and was exploring options of what to do with that and I found Wycliffe. The trip just seemed like an incredible opportunity to see what God is doing in the world and how I can be a part of it while learning more about linguistics and getting to travel and experience a new culture! The whole package. How about you, what made you decide to go?
