“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called…” (Ephesians 1:18, NLT).

Wycliffe and Faith Comes By Hearing continue to partner and produce audio Scriptures so that more and more people will have access to the translated Word of God, whether or not they can read. Using New Testaments translated by Wycliffe personnel and their local colleagues, Faith Comes By Hearing can make that translation available to oral communities by recording an audio version with local speakers. Through the use of a Proclaimer, an audio listening device, the recording is distributed to individuals and groups of people waiting to hear the Good News in their own language.

This month Wycliffe, in partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing, is promoting the need for Scripture recordings for 18 African languages.

  • Ask God to move mightily on behalf of those working to see this project started, that He would see all of their needs met.
  • Speakers of these 18 African languages have waited long enough to hear His Word; pray that they will wait no longer.
  • Praise God for the speed with which key partnerships and technology can accelerate the distribution of God’s Word, especially through Faith Comes By Hearing and devices like the Proclaimer.
