Church Relations Works to Equip Volunteers

“But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’” (Romans 10:14-15, NLT).

Wycliffe’s Church Relations Department seeks to engage the Church with the mission and vision of Bible translation. The Church’s involvement—here in the U.S. and abroad—is essential to the success of Vision 2025.

To better promote church partnership opportunities with Wycliffe, Church Relations is developing media tools and training that will equip local church volunteers as well as current Wycliffe staff members to easily share about Bible translation with individuals and groups. Equipping volunteers is a high priority for Church Relations, a department with limited people resources.

  • Ask God to bless Wycliffe’s training and marketing staff with wisdom and creativity as they assist Church Relations in the development of PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and more. Pray for appropriate and engaging products, produced in a timely fashion.
  • Pray for church volunteers across the nation to see the value in engaging those in their circle of influence.
  • Pray that the Church will arise to fulfill her mandate of making disciples of all people groups. Pray that eyes will be opened to understand the need for mother tongue Scriptures in the discipleship-making process. Ask God to use these new media tools to prompt men and women to join the Bible translation movement.
