More Scripture Access for the Deaf

“Love…always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7, NLT).

Praise God for the one-year anniversary of a group of ten people who have formed a team to translate the Bible into Salvadorian Sign Language. The acronym for the group’s name, TBLESSA, stands for “Translation of the Bible in LESSA (Salvadorian Sign Language).” Their mission is to guide and prepare Deaf* people to know the Word of God so they can receive and share the salvation of Jesus Christ.

•Pray that our all-sufficient God will meet the needs of this growing organization. Incoming funds are used for things like rent, electricity, Internet, research, and translation.

•Give thanks to Him for the growing global movement to make the Scriptures accessible to the Deaf in their heart languages in all areas of the world.

*Deaf people are a unique people group with their own rich language (sign language) and culture who are almost completely unreached with the good news about Jesus Christ. Deaf people in every country have a rich, complete language—the sign language of their country.
