involving students in Bible Translation, short term missions and internships
“They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power. They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign” (Psalm 145:11-12, NLT).
Storying projects promote God’s Word among oral cultures through the telling of Bible stories that have been translated and carefully crafted to be quickly shared with people. These Bible stories often serve as an intermediate step towards a printed translation or as an early evangelistic tool.
The Padi storytelling project of South Asia affects nearly eight million people. Since many are oral learners, the use of storytelling jumps cultural boundaries and can be easily communicated in this people group. The project goal includes 50 oral Bible stories, audio recordings of stories, and storying fellowship groups in the language region. Storytelling will reveal God’s love, truth, and the power of His Word to all listeners.
